It took us a while but we've made it back home again. We sped through the Chesapeake Bay - narrowly missing the shark attacks in waters further south, the Delaware River, and then stopped off in New York for some site seeing. We spend 10 days anchored just behind the Statue of Liberty in a quiet little spot in New Jersey's Liberty State Park before heading north through the rivers and locks of the Erie Canal.
Now we are in Toronto again and the Queen of the Harbour has been hauled out of the water and positioned on shore for her first winter in three years. And, much to our surprise, we discovered that her bottom is in great shape -considering what we've put her through. Our trip across Lake Ontario really helped our with our barnacle problem - fresh water is definitely the best water as far as boat maintenance is concerned!
Now it's back to work and life on land. We will fondly remember our trip across the Atlantic and back but, for now, we are glad to be lubbers again.
