Special news bulletin: we are leaving the protected waters of Guatemala and heading into the ocean – with saltwater and everything!
The last three weeks have been jam packed with exciting adventures on the river. We’ve dodged thunderstorms, battled super stomach bugs, spotted several manatees, managed to avoid being nibbled on by crocodiles, celebrated Thanksgiving with fellow Canadians, and cleaned up big time at trivia night to the tune of 220 Quetzales. That’s actually only $31 CND, but it was a substantial moral victory.
We have a couple of small repairs that should be finished within the next day and our hope to is be waving goodbye to the Guatemalan coast on October 29th.
The next time you hear from us we should be basking in the shade of the bimini, on the bright blue waters of Belize, still celebrating the demise of Ford Nation.
