Adam checking out the giant mooring ball
The water pump has been installed, the water muffler has been bolted back down, the sail slides sewn, the anchor light has been replaced, and we’ve slapped our names on a wall in paint; the only thing left is to pay the bill . . . she says with a nervous laugh. We’ve been going over last minute items, checking out the top of the mast, and trying to remember how to stow things away properly so that we can set off tomorrow morning. Adam was a bit ripe after the activities of the day so we even headed down to the beach for a final swim in the salty waters of Faial!
We are still in island hopping mode so we aren’t going very far, just a jump over to Sao Jorges about 20 nautical miles away. It’s not clear what the pizza situation is on Sao Jorges but we are told that the cheese is world famous and the hiking paths are lovely. We’ll be able to explore the islands while walking off the dairy – we’ll kill two chickens with one hen. P.S. is Rob Ford still the mayor?
